According to the inscription on the iwan wall, the ruined structure here was demolished by Hafız-ı Kur'an Müşir Pasha with the support of Muhammed (Miri) Pasha, who was the district governor of Raqqa. Then the mosque was rebuilt. The inscription was written by the poet Sakib. In the last line, the year 1839 (1255 Hijri) is seen.
