It is understood from the foundation deed that Şeyh Yusuf Mosque, popularly known as Tabakhane Mosque, was built by Kavvasoğlu Hacı Ahmed. The mosque was named after Sheikh Yusuf Hamadani because of a tomb said to be in the courtyard of the mosque. The architectural style of the mosque dates back to the 16th century. The mosque is a very small, single-storey building built very simply from black cut stone.
