One of some pictures, some taken from the hill. On a website I found, translated and edited: Yalınayak Camii (I think that will be “naked foot mosque”). Located in the Tire district of Izmir, this mosque was built by a person named Hasan Çavuş. Since there is no inscription, the date of construction is not certain. However, from the building style and foundation charter, it is thought to have been built in the middle of the 16th century. The madrasah next to the mosque was demolished, but the hammam and the muvakkithane (workplace for the time keeper of the mosque, so prayers were held in time) have survived to the present day. The mosque has a rectangular plan made of cut stone, close to a square, and is covered with a central dome with pendentives. The mihrab in the place of worship is in the form of a round niche. In the mosque are 19th century pencil works. The narthex in front of it is in five sections, where six columns are connected by round arches.
